London Open House Festival

Vibrant business and community space The Hithe will be open to the public during London's Open House Festival between 8-11 September, and you're invited to come and learn about how exciting example of ‘circular’ building innovation.

The Hithe is one of three CIRCuIT demonstrator projects in London. Designed to be taken apart and refabricated on a new site, this temporary business incubator space can be used again and again – radically reducing its environmental footprint.

Thursday 8th September 2022

• Closed invitation evening event hosted by Meanwhile Space showcasing practical project examples.

Friday 9th September 2022

• Redesign the Rules - a CIRCuIT hackathon exploring circular transformation

Participants will join games designer Drew Richards at this playful hackathon to explore how to drive reuse, recycling and the transformation of buildings for a more circular built environment.

Participants will reimagine the complex policy and regulatory landscape of circularity by designing and playing their own table top games. The outcomes from this hackathon will inform the development of public engagement tools to drive interest and understanding in circular design and construction.
